Hidden Treasures

I haven't posted notes in here for quite some time. But starting today, I want that to change. :o) I have gleaned so much from both encouraging and challenging messages from God's Word throughout the years, and I want to remember at least the highlights and make them an active part of my life.
So here goes ...
The next few days' postings will probably be from a missions conference we recently had here at the ministry. I think the Lord really used this time to renew my passion and zeal for the lost and for what He has called me to do here. Praise the Lord.
So, without further ado ...
Today's message comes from someone who plays a very significant part in our ministry! I don't recall a title, but I have titled it ...
Laboring Together in His Harvest
In harvest, everyone understands their job. No one fights and no job is greater or lesser. Everyone understands there are just a few weeks to work for the harvest.
ALL of us are called to live a life of missions. And what we do here is equally important to what they do there. (on the field)
Example: Story of David and his men
Those who stayed back were equally important to those who went! David decreed they merited the same reward. There are those of us that must stay back so that others can be on the frontlines. We ALL have our place in His harvest.
Romans 10:14,15
Every man, woman and child can play an active part in missions!
Invest your time and resources very carefully.
In his "Passion for Souls", Oswald J. Chambers said the number one priority of the church is world evangelism.
Every person and family must feel it's their call--their responsibility--to be actively involved in world evangelism.
When we get to heaven, the same reward will be waiting for us as if we'd been on the frontlines. (Incredible.)
Practical Applications:
*Write down prayer requests from news reports, prayer meetings, anything you hear. Pray for them in the evening.
*Get a map out at night. Pray for one country a night.
*Have a prayer meeting at your house. Or at the church.
